As COVID-19 evolves in our community, Brown Henderson Melbye is working with you through Covid-19 concerns that affect you and your family. We are also striving to maintain our highest service levels and uphold the health and safety of our clients, our team, their families and broader community. Brown Henderson Melbye is taking the following proactive approach.
1. Office Space Is Open: Please Make an Appointment
Our physical office space in Athlone Court is open by appointment only and only where meeting in person is necessary. If you come into our office please follow our protocols and kindly wear a mask.
2. Using Technology to work with you through Covid-19 concerns
We have the technology for our lawyers and team to work securely and meet our clients and families needs, whether it’s online or in the office.
3. Meeting Options Available
We offer both new and existing clients a variety of meeting options. For instance, meetings can be arranged by telephone or video conferencing. We also are equipped to meet in in-person where necessary and have installed plexiglass barriers in our office meeting rooms to help keep everyone safe.
4. Resolution Options with Courts Changing Operations
The way your family law matter progresses may be impacted by the changing situation. For example, all courts in British Columbia have adapted and altered their operations such as by conducting some court matters by phone rather than in-person.
We also offer our clients alternative ways to move their family law matter forward including through Collaborative, Mediation and Arbitration options.
5. Following Government Recommendations
We continue to follow all federal and provincial recommendations and guidelines related to COVID-19 such as the Government of Canada Coronavirus website. This situation is evolving, and we will continue to update our website to keep you informed.
If you are an existing client and have questions, please be in touch with your lawyer/assistant team. We are here to help. For all new client inquiries, please contact Patricia Routien at 250-595-2220 if we can assist.
In conclusion while we are taking all necessary precautions to help prevent the spread of COVID-19, please be assured that we are well prepared and ready to be working with you through Covid-19 concerns.
