Jennine Prowse – Legal Assistant
Jennine was born and raised in Victoria and hopes to stay in this beautiful city. She graduated from Claremont Secondary School and, having a strong interest in law, immediately completed Camosun College’s Legal Assistant Program. Graduates of the program may choose to complete specialized training in a number of areas and this program leads to credentials within the legal administration field.
Jennine has enjoyed a career as a Legal Administration Assistant for over twenty years and has focused primarily on matrimonial law for the last ten years. She is very happy to once again be back with Brown Henderson Melbye and really enjoys her job with this great group of dedicated people. She likes how BHM lawyers support their staff members, giving them opportunities and encouraging advancement of their skills through continued legal education and computer courses.
She especially likes how BHM puts clients’ best interest before business. BHM focuses on the wellbeing of children, and are registered to conduct Hear the Child Reports. The lawyers focus on collaborative techniques and realize going to court is the last option, in keeping with their strong mediation legal administration aspect of law.
Jennine also enjoys BHM’s focus on participating in and supporting the community. Blog articles feature community involvement in various charitable programs supporting mental health, medical health, children’s charities, and fulfilling other opportunities for raising awareness and sharing their legal administration knowledge. The Brown Henderson Melbye legal team will pay for classes or seminars for the legal administration assistants for any subject related to their work.
She loves animals, and enjoys having Dyson in the office. Jennine enjoys riding horses, both competitively and just for fun, and when not in the office she likes spending her time with her husband, two teenage daughters and their horses, an interest that keeps them all very, very busy!
